I am partly retired, having worked developing engineering physics simulation software (nothing to do with games) and am interested in encouraging young and old into the world of programming.
These games are written using Microsoft Small Basic, which is a simplified programming language originally designed for children learning to code. Some of these games use an extension with added functionality. The LitDev extension was developed over the last 15 years and is still evolving.
Using the simple Small Basic language coupled with powerful external APIs conveniently wrapped for Small Basic make the development process very efficient for novice and experienced developers.
I also use an enhanced development environment (SB-Prime) to improve the development experience beyond the intentionally very basic Microsoft IDE.
If you are interested in knowing more (documentation, samples, how-to etc) then please visit my website.
Additionally, there is a forum at a relatively early stage with a small active community, where we welcome anyone interesting in Small Basic, its extensions and programming in general.
These games are fairly small, created mostly to demonstrate various features. The source code for any of them is available in the download.
